The Hyundai Group is one of the biggest multinational corporations in Korea and their subsidiary Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. is one of the world´s largest shipbuilders. In the last few years, Hyundai Heavy Industries has expanded into the manufacturing of photovoltaic systems and has been quite successful, especially in the domestic market of Korea. Hyundai has already established the in house production of both high-quality photovoltaic cells and modules. Thanks to a secure long term supply of raw materials, nothing stands in the way of an ambitious plan of expansion in the photovoltaic industry.
